Cultural Resort Activities

Join us as we explore the cultural side of our exquisite  island, from astounding art collections to the art of the Hula.

Hula Demonstrations
Hula dancing is a graceful art and has many hand movements that signify various emotions. These hand motions can also signify the different aspects of nature like swaying of a tree or swells of an ocean wave. At our Maui resort we are delighted to introduce you to this joyous art form and teach you a little bit about Maui culture. Learn about the traditional Hula dance with demonstrations by our Recreations Department. Demonstrations are offered Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 12:30pm.  For questions, please touch extension 3225. No reservations needed for Hula Class.

Lei Making
In Hawaii, lei making is a wonderful event that usually precedes a family gathering or a special celebration. It's time for family and friends to come together, "talk story" and share in the spirit of aloha while they each make a lei.

The Recreations Department invites you to share in the tradition. Lei Making and demonstrations are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:30pm. Reservations are required, please touch ext 3225.

Meet our exotic wildlife including penguins, cranes, swans, flamingos, and parrots. Tours are offered Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 10:00 am. Meet in the Atrium Lobby and bring your cameras!
