Japengo

Discover a glamorous spot to enjoy the Maui bar and nightlife scene at Hyatt Regency Maui’s newest dining venue, Japengo. A sophisticated dining destination, Japengo draws on Hawaii's freshest, locally-grown products coupled with exotic ingredients from Pacific Rim countries. Take a culinary adventure showcasing modern Asian-inspired flavors with Hawaiian flair. Located lobby level, guests can enjoy Japengo’s indoor and outdoor patio seating overlooking the resort’s waterfalls and famed Ka’anapali Beach or watch as creative sushi is rolled to order in the chic Sushi Lounge.

This chic poolside venue showcases modern Hawaiian cuisine, which is available as light bar fare in the evening. Meaning “the shade cast by a cliff” in Hawaiian, 'Ūmalu offers guests a taste of glittering Maui nightlife and a reprieve from the sun, so they may enjoy a restful and soothing experience.

Whether you are a connoisseur or simply enjoy an occasional glass of wine, our outstanding wine cellar is sure to please everyone's tastes. Boasting the largest collection in the state of Hawaii, our cellar holds up to 3,000 bottles of the finest offerings from the hottest wineries in the United States, France and Italy. The stunning, mahogany-framed glass walled wine cellar, with tumbled marble floor and exotic tortoise-shell chandelier, houses an extensive array of collector items, including verticals of Cabernet Sauvignons from Harlan Estate, Screaming Eagle and Araujo, along with the 1982 first growth Bordeaux from a variety of estates.  We invite you to share a bottle of a classic vintage for a special celebration, or just relax at our Maui wine bar with a glass before heading to dinner.
